Yuan An has a strong Confucianism, emphasizing caste status, acting according to "propriety", and not being arrogant. He was a man who dared to speak out and remonstrated, which later offended Emperor Wen of the Han Dynasty. He was transferred to the post of Captain of Longxi, and later moved to become the Prime Minister of Wu.

5. Li Ji
