When I went to grandpa's house in the country, I noticed that several old houses were deserted.

Those old houses are at the end of the road. Many people used to walk, but now no one has left for a long time. They are covered with moss. When I walked past, my foot slipped and I almost fell.

With the migration from the countryside to the city, it has become sparsely populated and desolate. The stone steps in front of many old houses are covered with moss. It seems that the host hasn't come to live for a long time.

Dad was going to transform Grandpa's old house here. On important days, such as Grandpa's anniversary, Tomb-Sweeping Day, Spring Festival, we can reunite with our brothers and sisters in the old house.

After all, it carries the memories of dad's generation.

But it seems that it is impossible to build a house because it is not approved. Besides, everyone is used to city life now. Besides Tomb-Sweeping Day and some anniversaries, we usually call hotels in the city and get together for dinner. Even if it can be approved, it seems that there is no need to transform the old house. After all, if it is renovated, no one will come to live, and there is a great chance of idleness.

The same should be true of other old houses in the village. The young people went to the city, and the old people kept leaving the world, leaving only this shabby house, because there was no activity for a long time and the road was covered with moss.

Maybe in many, many years, the old house will collapse and the stones will be weathered. There will be weeds here, maybe it will become wasteland, maybe it will become forest.

So the village disappeared, and there is no evidence of human life here.

Fortunately, people have memories. Dad, who grew up here, has written a long article about his childhood. He wrote about his grandmother, his mother, his unmarried blind aunt, and some small things that he grew up here.

The village may disappear, and dad will leave this world in the distant future, but his memory will remain in this world in the form of words and expressions, and the village will continue to exist through dad's words.
