Article 6 The health administrative department of the State Council is responsible for the prevention and control of infectious diseases and its supervision and management nationwide. The health administrative departments of local people's governments at or above the county level are responsible for the prevention and control of infectious diseases and their supervision and management within their respective administrative regions. Other departments of the people's governments at or above the county level are responsible for the prevention and control of infectious diseases within the scope of their respective responsibilities. The prevention and treatment of infectious diseases in the military shall be handled in accordance with this Law and relevant state regulations, and shall be supervised and managed by the health authorities of the Chinese People's Liberation Army.
