In May 2013, the U.S. Congress passed an amendment to the immigration law, requiring foreigners who have overstayed their stay in the United States to have their fingerprints taken and archived upon departure, in order to reduce the occurrence of this phenomenon.
You will probably receive this "preferential treatment" after your stay in the United States has "expired". I may have trouble getting my visa next time.
