Survey of Gan Dialect in Fuzhou Dialect

Gan dialect is the main language used by Jiangyou people of Han nationality, and it is also a kind of tonal language of Gan dialect in Sino-Tibetan language family.

From ancient times to the Spring and Autumn Period and the Warring States Period, Fuzhou has always been the activity area of the Yue people. After Qin and Han Dynasties, the imperial court immigrated to Jiangxi several times, and gradually formed the ancient Lisu language. Fuzhou belonged to Jiujiang County in Qin Dynasty and Zhangyu County in Han Dynasty. In the eighth year of Yongyuan in the Eastern Han Dynasty (AD 96), he was in some counties in the northwest of Cheng Nan. The first name is Linru, which is named after the existence of water and milk in China. In the second year of Wu Taiping in the Three Kingdoms (AD 257), Linchuan County was established, which governed Linru and Cheng Nan counties and belonged to Yangzhou. The first year of Jin Yuan Kang (AD 29 1) belonged to Jiangzhou. Analysis of Dingchuan County in Linru County in the 3rd year of Liang Dynasty (AD 522). In the ninth year of Emperor Yangdi's reign (A.D. 589), Linchuan County was changed to Fuzhou, and Yang was appointed as the general of appeasement. In the third year of Tang Guangqi (887), Wei Quanfeng, a native of Fuzhou, who was separated from eastern Jiangxi, started the construction of the first city wall in Fuzhou history, which took three years to complete. Historical data show that the population distribution in Fuzhou was quite dense at that time. In the process of absorbing Chinese in the Central Plains, the ancient Gan dialect gradually formed its own language characteristics.
