Datong tourist area
Datong tourist area covers the areas under the jurisdiction of Datong City and Shuozhou City in northern Shanxi Province, and is the most colorful tourist area in Shanxi Province.
Datong is one of the famous historical and cultural cities in China. It was once the capital of the Northern Wei Dynasty and the capital of Liao and Jin Dynasties. Yuncheng area, called "Hedong" in ancient times, has a long history and is one of the earliest birthplaces of the Chinese nation.
