According to the provisions of the Measures of Shanghai Municipality for the Administration of Student Status in Primary and Secondary Schools, those who meet one of the following conditions may apply for transfer in the compulsory education stage:

1, the household registration of registered students in this city moves across the city with their parents.

For example, before the account was in Songjiang, the replacement property was moved to Minhang, and the account was moved to Minhang District with parents. This situation allows transfer. It should be noted that only students' own accounts cannot be moved across regions, and parents' accounts must also be moved.

2. Students from other provinces (or overseas) who are registered in this city will return to this city to study.

For example, parents and children are registered in Shanghai, but because parents work in other places, children have also studied in other places before. Now that my parents have moved back to Shanghai and my children have returned to study, it is possible to transfer. Or have recently settled in Shanghai with their parents, and children who studied in other places before are also allowed to transfer.

3. The residence of students studying in this city has changed across regions.

For example, I used to live in Baoshan District and later moved to Huangpu District. In that case, I can also apply for transfer. This situation has nothing to do with which district the household registration is located, but mainly the change of residence.

4. Non-local registered students who meet the requirements of compulsory education in this city in the current year.
