Hua Wei Uprising Memorial Hall is a national AAAA-level tourist attraction, a national key cultural relic protection unit, a classic red tourist attraction and a patriotic education base.

Hua Wei Uprising Memorial Hall is located in the former site of Nanweihua Uprising Revolution in Gaotang Town, hua county City, Shaanxi Province. May 1988 opened to the public. It is subordinate to Huaxian Education Bureau, Huaxian Culture Bureau and Huaxian Cultural Relics and Tourism Bureau. Hua Wei Uprising Command, where the museum is located, was founded in Yongzheng period of Qing Dynasty. Originally a temple, it was later set up as Gaotang Academy. In the 29th year of Guangxu (1903), it was changed to a school, and Xuantong Yuannian (1909) was changed to Gaotang Primary School, which became the political, cultural and educational center of Gaotang area at that time and the melting pot for training revolutionary cadres of the education party.

1957 was listed as a key cultural relics protection unit in Shaanxi Province in May and as a national key cultural relics protection unit in June 2006. Since 1984, the former site of Hua Wei Uprising Revolution has been fully restored. At the same time, the memorial hall actively carried out preparatory work and was opened to the public on 1988. The memorial hall covers an area of 8757 square meters, with a building area of 1590 square meters.

Since its establishment, the memorial hall has made an in-depth study of the historical facts and position of Hua Wei Uprising with a rigorous and realistic scientific attitude, compiled publications such as Hua Wei Uprising, Hua Wei Uprising Story Song Collection, Hua Wei Uprising charge of the light brigade, Party History and Hua Wei Uprising Special Materials, and filmed the TV series Hua Wei Uprising.
