The Present Situation of Poor Primary Schools in Western China

In Australia, I never know what poverty is, because all I know and see are people who can get tens of thousands of dollars just by reading newspapers every day. Beggars live in shelters and have no worries about food and clothing. Children pay almost nothing during their years in college. But when I arrived in China, my feelings changed.

I still remember when I just got off the plane, a mineral water bottle in my hand was taken away by several old ladies in China. Their skin is very dark, and an old woman seems to be ill. I couldn't help crying, so I gave her $20. This is the first time I have seen a poor man.

Later, the school organized a trip to the mountains. Children in mountainous areas are really miserable. They write on coffins and draw on the land. There are no stools, so they sit on stones. Without a bed, they slept on the table.

Some people in China really go too far. If they had a million dollars, they would buy a villa and travel abroad. In Australia, even if they have a million dollars, it is not the case. Those corrupt officials put money into their pockets and never thought about what would happen to those poor children.

There is a big gap between the rich and the poor in China. The rich don't help the poor, and there is no charity. Even if such people ascend to heaven, God will drive them down.

The poor in China are really miserable. I hope I can do my part to help them.

Lord, please bless them.
