Guide to immigration declaration for New Zealand immigrants
First, fill in the passenger entry card
List the items that need to be declared on the passenger's entry card, and fill them in truthfully to avoid being fined.
It is particularly important to note that:
1. Liquor: 2 bottles (inclusive) 1. 125L spirits and 4.5L wine or beer can be brought into the country.
2. Tobacco: 50 cigarettes or 50 grams of tobacco products can be brought into the country.
3. Duty-free shop goods: children's shoes on the way, goods purchased in the transit duty-free shop, the entry value can be less than 700 New Zealand dollars, subject to the receipt. For those purchased in other currencies, the amount converted by themselves is 1 NZD ≈4.3 RMB.
4. Cash: New Zealand dollar cash within 1000 can be brought into the country. As for cash, most restaurants, gas stations and shopping in New Zealand can use credit cards, and there are not many places to use cash, so 1000+ the cash limit for credit card consumption is enough.
2. Quarantine articles (that is, articles that need to be declared for entry if they are carried).
When you arrive at the airport, if you bring the items listed in the passenger entry card, or you are not sure whether the items you bring can enter the country, please remember to put them into the quarantine box before entering the inspection area, or take the initiative to declare for inspection.
1. Herbs/Traditional Medicine
Traditional Chinese medicine and herbal medicines (including Chinese patent medicines) are quarantine products that need to be declared and inspected. These items may contain pests and diseases that do not exist in New Zealand at present, or contain endangered animals and plants that are strictly prohibited from being brought into the country.
2. Meat products
Most meat products are prohibited from being brought into the country (including vacuum-packed or commercially packaged finished products). Meat products, minced meat, jiaozi, sausages and all kinds of dried meat may contain bacteria or animal germs, which are easy to spread to New Zealand animals and plants. If you don't declare voluntarily, you will be fined more than 400 dollars on the spot. If you are not sure whether you can carry it, please leave it at your original place of residence.
3. Seeds and plants (including bamboo and straw products)
Plants brought into the country will threaten plants native to New Zealand. Seeds may carry fungi, bacteria and viruses. If they spread to New Zealand native plants, it will bring disastrous losses to New Zealand's horticulture and timber industry.
4. Cooking ingredients (including hot pot seasoning, Laoganma, etc. )
Cooking materials are also quarantine products and need to be declared for inspection. These ingredients include garlic, ginger, spices and packaged finished products such as soup. Please try not to carry these ingredients. If you have these items, please throw them into the quarantine box or declare them voluntarily.
5. fruit
Fruit seems harmless, but it will actually pose a serious threat to the fruit industry in New Zealand. Fresh fruits are forbidden to be brought into the country because they may be threatened by pests such as Mediterranean fruit flies and pathogens such as citrus ulcers. Don't take risks, or you will be fined more than 400 dollars. Please take the initiative to declare.
6. Honey and honey products (remind children's shoes that usually eat honey health products to pay special attention)
Honey, beeswax, pollen and propolis may pose serious harm to the bee population in New Zealand, and it is forbidden to bring them into the country, including products containing less honey, such as skin care products and medicines. Please leave them at your home.
7. Used outdoor sports equipment
For example, sneakers with muddy soles.
Three. entry procedures
1. New Zealand attaches more importance to quarantine than other countries. Strict quarantine regulations require a thorough inspection of the luggage of every inbound passenger. Your luggage will be inspected by X-ray or manual inspection, and may be sniffed by quarantine dogs.
If you bring quarantine products into the country without declaring them on the passenger entry card, you will be fined more than 400 dollars on the spot.
Please remember that before you arrive at the inspection area, you have the opportunity to discard the undeclared quarantine products. Please discard the items in the isolation box provided by the airport.
Please cooperate when the quarantine officer asks for the passenger's entry card. The items you declare may be inspected.
After inspection, most items will be returned to you. However, some items may need to be isolated at their own expense.
6. Anything prohibited from entering the country will be destroyed immediately. You can also choose to send it back to your original place of residence at your own expense.
Guide to self-service customs clearance for New Zealand immigrants
First, the use of entry-exit self-service customs clearance system must meet the following conditions at the same time:
(1) Hold a valid electronic passport (a passport with a special logo on the cover, as shown in the figure below).
(2) The age is 65438 02 years old.
(3) Citizens of the following countries: Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Britain and the United States.
(4) Fill in the passenger entry and exit cards, and outbound passengers must hold boarding passes.
Second, the method of use
The self-service customs clearance counter is usually located next to the immigration counter.
When checking in, please pay attention to ensure that the name on the boarding pass is consistent with the name on the e-passport. There are only two simple steps to use the self-service customs clearance system:
(1) Step 1: eGate.
Insert the electronic passport into the self-service startup and shutdown machine to identify the identity of the machine.
(2) Step 2- Self-service customs clearance
Go through the first door and enter the self-service customs clearance. Look up at the camera in front of you, and you will take a photo and compare it with the photo on your e-passport.
● If the self-service customs clearance is successful, the gate will open automatically. The whole process is very convenient, and it only takes about 10- 15 seconds.
● If the self-service customs clearance fails, it will be guided to the self-service customs clearance help counter, and the customs clearance will be checked and released by the manual counter (there is no need to queue at the end of other manual counters).
Third, matters needing attention
(1) The self-service customs clearance system adopts face recognition technology, and the photos taken on the spot will be used for comparison with your passport photos.
Your image should be as consistent as possible with the passport photo: if you don't wear glasses in the passport photo, please take them off. Wide-brimmed glasses may affect the system judgment, so it's best to take them off. Don't cover your head and face. Take off sunglasses, hats, veils, scarves or any other headgear that may affect your facial features. Slight facial changes, such as slight obesity or hairstyle changes (except hair covering the face), usually do not affect the judgment of the customs clearance system.
(2) Passports using the self-service customs clearance system will not and do not need to be stamped with the entry customs clearance seal. If you need to stamp the inspection stamp, please go through the gate and ask the on-site attendant for help.
(3) After self-service customs clearance, you still need to accept customs, animal and plant quarantine and other inspections like other personnel. Your visa will not be affected by using the self-service customs clearance system.
