Article 7 of the Nationality Law: Foreigners who are close relatives of China people, have settled in China or have other legitimate reasons, and are willing to abide by the Constitution and laws of China, may apply for naturalization as China citizens.

For those close relatives from China, that is, overseas Chinese, it is basically not difficult to become citizens of China as long as they give up their foreign nationality.

For non-overseas Chinese, getting a green card in China is a condition.

1. Investor's "green card"

Conditions: direct and stable investment in China for more than three consecutive years, with paid-in registered capital of not less than 500,000 US dollars.

Article 6 1 item 1 of the Measures for the Permanent Residence of Foreigners in 2004 stipulates that foreigners who have made direct investment in China, have a stable investment situation for three consecutive years and have a good tax payment record may apply for permanent residence.

The registered capital actually paid by a foreign individual who applies for a "green card" in China must meet one of the following conditions, and be no less than the listed standards for three consecutive years: 1. The total investment in encouraged industries promulgated by the state is more than 500,000 US dollars; 2. The total investment in the western region of China and the key counties of national poverty alleviation and development work is more than 500,000 US dollars; 3. The total investment in Central China is more than $6,543,800+0,000; 4. The total investment in China exceeds US$ 2 million.

2. The green card of the incumbent

Conditions: deputy general manager, deputy factory director and above, who have served continuously for 4 years and not less than 3 years.
