Why do you have to study abroad when conditions permit?

5. Have the opportunity to work abroad, have paid vacations with high salaries, and have more opportunities to immigrate.

Of course, there are other non-mainstream ideas, such as finding a handsome Oba and having a beautiful baby of mixed blood. Everyone has his own interests, and there is no right or wrong. Today, when China is confident and moving forward, we encourage an open mind.

But I found a problem, that is, many students or colleagues who posted on the Internet only talked about the results, but did not make clear the causal logic behind them. For example, why do people who come back from abroad have a relative advantage in finding jobs? What are the advantages? Going abroad can broaden people's horizons, but what is the significance of broadening our horizons for our development and future life choices, and how to reflect it? There is less talk about this. I tried to analyze it today. I think it's a good idea.

Let me answer this question directly first. Why go abroad?

From the perspective of expanding horizons, let's start with a perceptual personal interpretation. As a literary youth, I am a staunch advocate of the theory of life experience. Life is short, the future is uncertain, and the heat and cold are only a few decades. How can I live? Why not just be careful, interesting and tasteful? Even if we sit on the well and watch the sky, why not make the wellhead bigger? Even if you can't see the Milky Way, can you try to understand the Earth-Moon system, instead of seeing the head at a glance and not circulating in the same orbit of your parents or even grandparents?

Life has bandwidth, the richness of experience describes the color of life, and the achievements in experience determine the height of life. This is why many people say that "the world is so big, I want to see it", which has become the curse of many people for a time. That's why some strange people appear on the Internet from time to time, such as quitting their jobs and riding motorcycles, possibly crossing the desert Gobi, Europe and the world. For example, give up city life, return to Shan Ye or the countryside, build a hut to buy acres of farmland, and make a living by doing personalized accommodation experience or artistic creation; For example, college students go to the countryside to farm, raise chickens and pigs, and take a "different" life path, similar to all kinds of fashions and heights that young people yearn for.

Our values are no longer limited to dignity and stability, but are increasingly pursuing self-realization and differentiation. Just like many young people buy things, everyone has them, so I don't have to buy them anymore. This is an era when personality begins to show. Compared with the mountains and rivers and small freshness in China, going abroad can let you see more possibilities. Just like the different educational models at home and abroad, domestic parents will first educate their children to study hard, so that good students can find a decent job in the future. On the other hand, foreign parents give priority to what their children are interested in. They can encourage their children to do things they are interested in and make their interests a future career. Some time ago, I shared the advice of investment guru Rogers on the development of young people. When it comes to the depths, it is exactly the same. We have heard too many similar stories, but there are many people who have heard them, few practitioners and even fewer people with courage.

Going abroad, not everyone will think deeply about the past and look forward to the future, but the various teaching modes you have experienced abroad will force you to start thinking or subconsciously pay attention to your present life and self-positioning thinking. At least, going abroad can first let you see the different understanding of the so-called "success" and "the meaning of life" at home and abroad, and let you try to live for yourself instead of others. This is very important to all of us.

Only when you are satisfied with yourself can others be satisfied with you. As the epitaph of the Bishop of the Anglican Church in the basement of Westminster Abbey in England wrote: When I was young and free, my imagination had no limit, and I dreamed of changing the world. When I was mature and wise, I found that the world could not be changed, so I was short-sighted and changed my country. But my country seems impossible to change. When I reached my old age, with the last hope of hard work, I decided to change only my family, the people close to me. But, alas, they don't accept change at all. Now, as I lay dying, I suddenly realized that if I only wanted to change myself at first, then I could change my family in turn. With their encouragement, I may be able to improve my country. Next, who knows, maybe I can change the whole world.

To sum up, foreign values and experiences will be like a mirror, allowing you to see the limitations of your world outlook, outlook on life and values, and it is also easy for you to see your potential other possibilities. The most important thing is that China's education emphasizes the overall situation, while foreign education likes to put pen to paper on small things, do well first, and then serve the country. Only by doing it yourself can we serve the country better. When things merge, they may complement each other. A confident person is open first.

Secondly, rationally speaking, going abroad will really increase your employment competitiveness. This is an indisputable objective fact. As a person who has worked in a large enterprise and has been responsible for recruitment, entrepreneurship and team building experience, I can talk about my understanding of this issue from my own experience.

First of all, whether it is a big company or a small company, recruiting talents or forming a team will undoubtedly choose the best people. Some bosses or experienced people say that the right is the best. In other words, talents don't have to be tall, suitable for jobs, and suitable for the development stage of the company is the most important. This sentence is true, but we only understand half of it, that is, under almost suitable circumstances, the company will give priority to people with better backgrounds. The outstanding students here, under the influence of the tide of graduate students and returning from studying abroad all over the country, the employment competitiveness of domestic students has obviously decreased. Compared with the two, the company will still choose to have study abroad experience.

There is a simple reason. First, foreign teaching mode and life mode cultivate students' relatively independent problem-solving ability, which is very valuable for both large and small enterprises. As the saying goes, "it is better to fill the duck for ten years than to think independently for one year." The first concern of enterprises is culturability and business ability. Excellent companies (no matter how big or small) never have pure executive screws, but they will be an internal entrepreneurial system, and each position will play a creative role. International students have relatively more advantages in this respect. To understand this problem clearly, we must analyze it from the buyer's market. As long as this person's ability can better meet the needs of the company, as long as the company's salary can be paid, the company will definitely choose someone with better conditions. Because excellent talents mean elite team culture, strong talent attraction, efficient decision-making and implementation, and low management and operation costs. If a job can be solved by one person, the company would rather pay ten people to handle it than hire ten people to do it.

Secondly, it's really a matter of face. However, the face problem of enterprises is different from that of individuals, and it will be related to the external publicity, talent recruitment, diversity of business commitments and corporate image of enterprises. Although some students who have returned from studying abroad have a bad style, most of them are of high quality and will behave appropriately in business occasions and communication and negotiation. In the talent structure of an enterprise, if the proportion of foreign students is relatively high, it will also have great attraction for subsequent entrants, forming a positive circular logic of the company's talent team. As for the necessary occasions, such as English communication, needless to say, is also of practical value to the company.

To sum up, the buyer's market will choose international students in most cases when the conditions are equal and the stability of people is controllable. This is the employment advantage of international students.
