Bai Xianyong's tea for two

I took a walk at noon yesterday and listened to most of the novel Tea for Two. I woke up this morning and couldn't let go of the second half. I closed my eyes and listened to the ending.

This novel tells the story of a group of Chinese and western mixed-race gay men who immigrated to the United States in the 1980s.

The author described the happy life of this group of people with half the power of the novel. Headed by an old couple who were born in Shanghai and have been friends for 40 years, they opened a restaurant, which is the place where everyone lives physically and mentally.

The hero is a financial man, and his lover is a handsome and sunny college student. The love between them is no different from heterosexuality. Remember those little details, they like to sit on the balcony, drink milk tea and taste the cake from the west point shop downstairs.

The novel will not be smooth sailing, and the turning point is inevitable. The turning point of the novel made the audience hold their breath.

The hero gave his lover a Lycra camera, but he didn't expect his lover to meet a robber and be thrown into the subway track during his struggle, which was crushed by the incoming train. ...

The hero collapsed, lost his memory and ran away for five years.

Five years later, he returned to his original hotel to find friends, and everything changed. The restaurant turned into a low-class bar, and the chef friend died. ...

For all of them, this is the best choice, because one of the older partners has the plague and can only live for three months.

There are two things that make me sad about this novel:

One is the sudden death of college students. When he was a teenager, his parents divorced and his family was in turmoil, which hurt him very much. He met the hero and was taken care of completely or even perfectly, as if he had been reborn.

Second, older partners go together. Death is the end of everyone. We can't choose whether to die, but we can choose when and how to die when we are healthy.

I don't think they are running away from anything, but I think they are brave and self-respecting.

Although it was only a novel, and in the distant United States, the announcer's voice came into my heart little by little, which made me witness the whole process and shed tears with everyone's joys and sorrows.

I saw the message area, and someone said, "An AIDS lecture is so emotional." . Then I heard another teacher say, "Is it my fault to be sick?" Courses.

The former belittles AIDS and sick people, and thinks that bad lifestyles such as gay men and promiscuity have led to the spread of the plague. The latter removes the "stigma" of the disease. A disease is just a disease. Most societies don't agree with homosexuality, so they find a horrible disease and establish a causal relationship with homosexuality. That's all.

I don't want to comment too much on the above things, because I know very little.

Finally, I recorded the feeling of listening to the song "Tea for Two" for the first time-it didn't match the novel, it was too happy and dynamic.

I can't imagine how the author relates this song to this story.

But that's how they met and merged. This is the wonder of life.
