On August 31, the police searched the computer in Qin Zhongfei’s office and confiscated his mobile phone. and took him to the public security bureau. The next day, the police interrogated Qin Zhongfei twice, searched Qin Zhongfei's home, confiscated his computer, and asked for his QQ number. On the evening of September 1, the Public Security Bureau decided to criminally detain Qin Zhongfei on suspicion of "defamation" and transfer him to the Pengshui County Detention Center.
