History of Sifang Terrace in Fuyu County

Why is this village called Sifangtai? Legend has it that there are two points:

The first one is that before the Qing Dynasty, Sifangtai, a fast place, was uninhabited, but there was a high earthen platform (now the former site of the store of Sifangtai of Liaozhong County Petroleum Company). At that time, there was a "Sibancheng" barracks about three miles southeast of Sifangtai Village. After the Qing emperor Nurhachi conquered the Ming army, the "Sibancheng" barracks no longer existed, but later generations did find traces of ancient masonry there.

The second is the eighth year of Shunzhi in the early Qing Dynasty, when the Qing Dynasty immigrated from Shanhaiguan, Shandong and Hebei to the area outside Shanhaiguan (Northeast). Sifangtai, a fast place, is the first place where several families come. According to legend, there are Wang, Zhou, Song, Bai, Fei, Zhao, Zhang and Kuang. There are many relatives among them. The geographical situation at that time was that "Sifangtai" was the second basis for the origin of the village name of Sifangtai. There are many banners in big stations (Manchu) and many in small stations, which has nothing to do with the village name.
