Chaobai River is one of the five major rivers in the Haihe River system in China. There are two branches in the upper reaches: Chaohe River originates from Fengning County, Hebei Province, and flows south through Gubeikou into Miyun Reservoir.

The Baihe River originates from Guyuan County, Hebei Province, and flows into the Miyun Reservoir in the southeast.

After leaving the reservoir, the two rivers merged in Hecao Village, Miyun District, and were called Chaobai River. It runs through the three provinces and cities of Hebei Province, Beijing City and Tianjin City. Below Xianghe County in Hebei Province is the Chaobai New River excavated in 1950, and ends at Ningchegu Gate where it enters the Yongding New River and the sea. The total length is 467 kilometers and the drainage area is 19,354 square kilometers.
