What are the conditions to take the entrance examination?

(a) the city's household registration candidates

New junior high school graduates, graduates with permanent residence in this city or previous junior high school graduates and graduates under the age of 18 (born after 1 September 19931day, the same below) can register in the district (county) where the new junior high school graduates and graduates are located or the district (county) where their household registration is located.

(2) Non-local household registration applicants

1. Hold a Shanghai residence permit valid for 1 year and above, and the residence permit is still valid in June of 20 1 18, and the children are junior high school graduates in this city or other provinces or cities or persons under 18 years old.

2. Both parents or one of them is a post-doctoral mobile station worker in a university or scientific research institution in Shanghai, and their children are fresh junior high school graduates from this city or other provinces and cities and previous junior high school graduates 18 years old. You can apply in the district (county) where junior high school graduates are located or the district (county) where the station unit is located.

3. Employees of investment enterprises in Shanghai and relevant staff of government agencies at or above the prefecture level (including prefecture-level cities) approved by the cooperation and exchange office of the municipal government, whose children belong to junior high school graduates in this city, can apply for the exam in the district (county) where the junior high school graduates are located.

4. Candidates whose parents or one of them is a permanent residence in this city and is a junior high school graduate in this city can apply in the district (county) where the junior high school is located.

5. The city's fresh junior high school graduates who originally held the blue-printed hukou in this city can apply for the exam in the district (county) where the junior high school is located after examination.

6. Taiwan Province compatriots and their children, residents of Hongkong and Macao Special Administrative Regions, or Shanghai junior high school graduates who graduated from previous junior high schools in this city under the age of 18 can register in the district (county) where they graduated from the junior high school (or previous junior high school).

(3) Students holding foreign passports apply.

New junior high school graduates with foreign passports or previous junior high school graduates under the age of 18 can apply in the district (county) where they graduated from junior high school (or former junior high school).
