Wallace was born on 19 18 in Brooklyn, a suburb of Boston, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, USA. Parents Frank Wallace and Gina Wallace are Russian Jewish immigrants, and Wallace is the fourth and youngest child. My father was a wholesale grocer in his early years and later became a successful insurance broker. Later, Wallace entered Edward Deverson Community Primary School and became an alumnus with John F. Kennedy, who was one year older than him. At Brooklyn High School, Wallace was the first violinist in the school symphony orchestra. Wallace graduated from high school with a B, 1935 and entered the University of Michigan.
