Lhasa Nepal Visa Guide (How much time does it cost)
Lhasa is relatively close to Nepal, and it is very easy to apply for a Nepali visa here. After visiting Tibet, many tourists want to go to Nepal, a mountainous country, to experience some exotic customs. After applying for a visa, they can get started. Let’s introduce it in detail below.
Handling fee: completely free, no cost required.
Address: Consulate General of Nepal in Lhasa. (Lhasa Hotel, No. 12, Beijing West Road)
Application time: Monday to Friday, accepted at 10:00 am, available at 4:00 pm on the same day.
Note: My friend in Tibet said that the processing time here may only be half an hour or an hour. It is recommended that you arrive around 10 o'clock. If you arrive late, you may not be accepted.
Preparation: Passport, one two-inch photo (white background and red background are acceptable). If you don’t bring any photos, you can take the following pictures at the graphic store diagonally across from the consulate for 20 yuan.
You have to fill out a form to get your passport. You can pick it up on the spot. There is a template on the left. Just fill it out according to the template. It's simple and can be modified. Then, there will usually be scalpers contacting you to carpool at the door of the consulate. Going to Nepal costs 400 yuan per person. I got the visa at 10 am today and picked it up at 4 pm. Now I am on my way to Nepal.
1. Materials: My passport (attached to the visa form), a completed visa form (filled in English), a two-inch photo, and a copy of the passport. You can pay by submitting the materials directly. 0 yuan will give you the list in Figure 1. Don't lose it. Come get your passport around 4pm!
2. After I got my passport, there were many buses from the embassy gate to the Geelong Port, which cost 400 yuan per person. We set off around 4pm and the flat road was very comfortable. Prepare some food and water in advance, the chef will stay open until 12 o'clock in the evening, and then stay for dinner. But I felt that the accommodation conditions were really poor (the main reason I couldn’t stand it was the lack of ventilation), so I chose to spend the night in the bus.
3. Set off at 6 a.m. the next day and you will see Mount Everest in the distance. Afterwards you will see West Jabawa Peak and arrive at Jilong Town at noon. This section of the road is still very good.
4. After arriving at Jilong Town, transfer to Jilong Port, which costs 50 yuan per person and takes about an hour. At this time, you can already see many colorful trucks in Nepal, and the winding mountain roads are also quite good.
5. After passing through Jilong Port, transfer to Kathmandu, 150 yuan/person, seven seats. But there were only four of us in the car. In the end, we chatted with Xiao Hei for 225 before we left. Otherwise, he would have been there all the time, and we don’t know when. This journey has been really bumpy and I doubted my life. The road is very narrow and has a cliff next to it. We were all scared to death and there was a huge traffic jam when it was dark. We usually get there at five or six o'clock, but we got to Kathmandu at about ten o'clock. My seat belt is still broken. At that time, I thought that if I could reach Kathmandu alive, I would live a good life in the future. Fortunately, my master’s driving skills are really good!
The whole journey from Lhasa to Kathmandu normally costs 600 yuan per person and takes about 25 hours.
