Why are American cars so cheap?

National tariffs on imported high-end cars are too high.

Example: Toyota FJ cruiser model 2007-4.0, the domestic quotation is at least 690,000.

I checked the price on Toyota USA. The basic amount is $23,905 before tax, which is equivalent to RMB 18072 1 yuan. The top allocation should add 10, 5 14 and * * * 344 19, which is 260207 yuan.

Tariff = dutiable price X 25% = 6.75.

Taxable value of consumption tax = (dutiable price+tariff) /( 1- consumption tax rate) = (27+6.75)/85% = 39.7 1 10,000.

Consumption tax = taxable value of consumption tax composition x15% = 39.71x15% = 59,600.

VAT = (customs value+customs duty+consumption tax) x17% = 39.71x17% = 67,500.

After examination, it is really difficult for the customs to provide the entry clearance form issued by the Entry-Exit Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, the compulsory product certification certificate, the automobile air conditioner compressor certificate with non-CFC- 12 refrigeration quality, the certificate of imported goods issued by the customs and the automatic import license issued by the Ministry of Commerce.

However, it is not impossible for individuals to import cars. As far as I know, individuals can entrust an imported automobile trading company to go through customs clearance procedures, and they can go through customs clearance themselves, and all procedures are entrusted to foreign trade companies.
