How long does it usually take to book a visa in the United States? Can you tell me more about it?

1. Non-immigrant visa applicants should apply at least three months before traveling.

First, register your account and fill in the DS- 160 visa application form. The applicant's personal data can be changed before making an appointment. Modify personal data or new visa application, correct the data, and then pay the appointment fee.

You need the barcode number on the confirmation page of DS- 160 form when you make an appointment for an interview. You must submit the DS- 160 form online and bring a clearly printed confirmation letter when you go to the embassy or consulate for an interview. The embassy or consulate general does not accept handwritten or printed application forms. Without the confirmation page of DS- 160 form, you will not be able to attend the interview.

2. Immigrant visa does not need to apply for an appointment before the visa is approved. After your application is approved, the American Visa Center or Guangzhou Consulate General will inform you to make an appointment.

(1) If USCIS approves your application, your documents will be transferred to the National Visa Center (NVC) for processing. Once the US Visa Center completes the processing, the US Visa Center will cooperate with the US Consulate General in Guangzhou to arrange the interview time. The American Visa Center will send a cover letter to the American applicant and/or authorized agent. If you apply for a K visa, the American Visa Center will transfer your file to the American Consulate General in Guangzhou for an interview.

(2) If your application is approved by the China office of USCIS, your application will be directly transferred to the US Consulate General in Guangzhou. You will receive instructions from the American Consulate General in Guangzhou. The guide includes the materials you need to submit and how to book a visa interview on the visa application service website maintained by an authorized contractor.

: To reserve an interview time for a non-immigrant visa or apply for renewal through an interview-free application, you need to provide the following information and documents:
