Who do Sichuanese call the old man Gaga?

Gaga in Sichuan dialect refers to grandpa, grandma, grandpa's brother and grandpa's brother's wife.

Sichuan dialect belongs to southwest mandarin, also known as Bashu dialect. Today's Sichuan dialect was formed in the great migration movement of "Huguang filling Sichuan" during the Kangxi period of Qing Dynasty, and it was formed by the gradual evolution and integration of Shu dialect popular in Sichuan before the Ming Dynasty and immigrant dialects in Huguang, Guangdong and Jiangxi.

Sichuan dialect originated from the Shu language in Cuba. Up to now, the original layer of Sichuan dialect still retains ancient words such as "Ba" (Pingdi), "Sister" (Mother) and "Yang" (Friend). Since then, Sichuan dialect has been developing and changing with the historical process and the changes of immigrants from Sichuan. First, after Qin destroyed Shu, Sichuan gradually formed a unique Sichuan dialect belonging to the Han family. Later, in the Ming and Qing Dynasties, due to a large number of immigrants from Huguang and other places entering Sichuan, Sichuan dialect evolved and merged with immigrant dialects from all over the world, and finally formed today's Sichuan dialect.
