Yunlong Reservoir in Luquan County

Yunlong Reservoir is the water source project of Kunming Zhangjiu River Water Diversion and Water Supply Project. It is located in Yunlong Township and Sayingpan Town, Luquan County, northwest of Kunming City, about 137 kilometers away from Kunming City. The dam site is located in the canyon section of the upper reaches of the Zhangjiu River, a secondary tributary of the Jinsha River system, with a controlled drainage area of ??745 square kilometers, accounting for 38.5% of the total Zhangjiu River drainage area. The reservoir has a total storage capacity of 484 million cubic meters. It is a large (II) type reservoir project. The project grade is Grade II, and the design standard for permanent buildings is Grade II. The reservoir is responsible for 70% of Kunming's water supply.
