Passport is an identity document used by China citizens in other sovereign countries other than China.

A pass is an identity document used in the China Special Administrative Region.

The sovereignty of Hongkong and Macau belongs to China, so China citizens can't go to these two places with their passports.

Passport processing process is generally as follows:

2. Fill in the application form: Fill in and submit the Application Form for Passport of the People's Republic of China. If you don't understand anything, you can consult the staff at the window.

5. Passport collection: After application, you can collect your passport from the entry-exit administration department within the specified time, or you can choose to send it by express mail to the designated address.
