What are the requirements for working in Qatar?

1. China citizens need an entry visa to enter Qatar.

2. China citizens who hold long-term residence visas in the member countries of the Arabian Gulf Cooperation Council and are managers or above can apply for a visa on arrival with a stay period of 14 days upon arrival at the airport, which can be extended by 14 days.

3. To apply for a visa, you need to hold a visa notification letter from the Qatar Immigration Bureau and other materials to go through the visa posting procedures at the Qatar Embassy in China.

4. Holders of tourist and family visit visas are not allowed to work in Qatar or engage in illegal activities inconsistent with their visa status.

Application process

1. The visa applicant should specify the purpose and itinerary of going to the card.

2. According to the purpose of card removal, select the corresponding visa application procedure.

1) tourist visa: the designated Qatar hotel applies to the airport visa office of the immigration bureau on behalf of the applicant. The stay period is 14 days, which can be extended once after expiration.

2) Business visa: The company or the designated institution (i.e. the guarantor) applies to the airport visa office of the Immigration Bureau on behalf of the applicant, and the stay time is 14 days, which can be extended for 3 months upon expiration.

3) Business visas for work (residence), visiting relatives and multiple entry: Entry visas will be issued by the Ministry of the Interior.
