The Place Names and Historical Evolution of Xinkun Village
Xinkun Village is named after Xinkun Reservoir. Six natural villages, such as Shihubian, Goubian, Gaocuolin, Xingdang, Shanzai and Xinkai, belonged to the three-way brigade of Guanqiao Commune in Nan 'an at that time. The river bank merged into Shihu Lake at 1960, and Xinkai Reservoir was built at 1960, hence the name Xinkai Natural Village.
