What is the concept of studying abroad?

Studying abroad means "staying and studying abroad", so the English name for international students is Overseas student, and studying abroad is Study abroad. According to this, studying abroad is not called studying at a university. It is just one of the most common ways. As far as I am concerned, if I go to the UK after my first year of high school in China, it is already studying abroad, but that is studying abroad in a middle school. Not a university.

Or to explain it this way, studying abroad is actually studying, but the place of study is changed from China to other countries. It is studying in university, and it is also studying in elementary and middle school. It is not said that studying is only done in university.
