The salary of the position to be hired meets the Australian minimum wage standard.

A complete 457 visa application includes three steps:

Step 1: The employer applies for the guarantee qualification.

Employers need to apply to the Australian Immigration Department for sponsorship qualification, with no more than 3 sponsorship places at a time. The guarantee amount is valid for 2 years from the date of approval.

Step 2: Employers nominate positions to hire overseas people.

This step is also completed by the employer, that is, the employer makes it clear to the immigration bureau what position the overseas person he intends to hire will hold. In this process, the employer needs to clarify the job title and required skill level (including education, work experience, license or registration requirements, etc. ), the proposed employment period and salary. In fact, the Australian Immigration Department has published a list of occupations applicable to the 457 visa, with the corresponding minimum skill level and salary standard. Employers should generally not be lower than the standards of the Immigration Bureau.

Step 3: Employees submit visa applications.

Employees are required to submit visa applications within 1 year after the employer's nomination is approved. Employees need to provide evidence to prove that they have the knowledge, experience and English level to meet the job requirements.

Please note that the above three steps can be carried out separately or together, but the latter step cannot be carried out before the first step. For example, an employer can apply to nominate a profession after the sponsorship qualification is approved, or two applications can be submitted together, but it is not allowed to nominate a profession before applying for sponsorship qualification. The same is true for visa applicants, which can be done together with the employer's guarantee application and nomination application, but not before the first two steps.
