According to Article 5 of the Immigration Law promulgated by Cyprus Investment Service Center and the Republic of China 1972, foreigners who meet the following six conditions can apply for an immigration permit in Cyprus:

Category a:

People who are willing to engage in farming, animal husbandry and fishery in Cyprus. The conditions for such people to apply for a Cyprus immigration permit are: they have enough land ownership to engage in the above activities, and their discretionary funds are not less than 430,000 euros. This self-employment situation will not have a negative impact on the overall economy of Cyprus.

Class b:

People willing to engage in mining in Cyprus. The conditions for these people to apply for a Cyprus immigration permit are: having mining rights and having discretionary funds of not less than 350,000 euros. This self-employment situation will not have a negative impact on the overall economy of Cyprus.

Class c:

People willing to engage in their own trade activities in Cyprus. The conditions for such persons to apply for a Cyprus immigration permit are that they have relevant permits and have discretionary funds of not less than 260,000 euros. This self-employment situation will not have a negative impact on the overall economy of Cyprus.

Class d:

People who are willing to engage in science and technology industry or scientific research in Cyprus. The conditions for such people to apply for a Cyprus immigration permit are: they have industry-related qualifications, have some discretionary funds, and must prove that there is a real demand for the position in Cyprus.

Class f:

Have a stable non-wage income overseas (that is, in countries and regions outside Cyprus) (note: "non-wage" is added by bloggers). Retirement salary belongs to the category of "non-wage income"), who can freely control this income without engaging in any professional or commercial activities in Cyprus to earn income, thus maintaining a high standard of living in Cyprus. The minimum requirements for this income are: 9568. 17 euros/year for the main applicant and 46 13.22 euros/year for each deputy applicant. The Ministry of Interior of Cyprus reserves the right to amend this minimum standard. Most of those who apply for immigration permits from Cyprus and China are such people, and most of them are retirees.

Note: The immigrant visa fee in the last paragraph of the above webpage is CY &;; Pound; Cy&in 70 pounds; It is the currency before Cyprus joined the euro zone, and 70 Cyprus pounds is equivalent to 1 19.6 euros.

It is obvious from the above-mentioned immigration policy that the Cyprus government is considering issuing immigration permits to qualified applicants, mainly to facilitate foreigners' travel, life and consumption in Cyprus, so it is stipulated that all kinds of immigrants shall not occupy the employment opportunities of local people (and people from EU member States). In fact, except for F, very few other categories have obtained immigration permission from Cyprus. Class F can be called "leisure immigrants" or "retired immigrants" or "elderly immigrants". Applicants can be retirees who have reached the corresponding age, or middle-aged and young people with higher non-wage income, such as company shareholders with dividend income, professional investors, people who get rental income from the industry, people with bank deposit interest or dividend income, and freelancers. The key requirement is that after obtaining the immigration permit, the applicant can only live and live in Cyprus or start a company to hire others, and must not occupy the job opportunities of Cypriots (and personnel from EU member States). The government of Cyprus welcomes investment in Cyprus, and F immigrants can also invest to establish or hold shares in companies after they move to Cyprus. Before the introduction of the new policy of "housing immigration", F immigrants were mostly retirees from Britain and the Middle East, and a small number were high-income people from Russia, Israel and other countries.
