Introduction of Yunyang Yangtze River Bridge in Chongqing?

Chongqing Yunyang Yangtze River Bridge, located in Yunyang County, Chongqing, is the last Yangtze River Bridge built in Chongqing before the impoundment of the second phase of the Three Gorges Project. The bridge starts from Yunyang New County on the north bank of the Yangtze River and ends at Panlong Street on the south bank. The provincial highway S205 passes through the bridge. The bridge structure is a high-low tower cable-stayed bridge with a total length of 1, 278.6m m. According to the two-way four-lane design, construction started in June 2002, the main bridge was closed in July 2005, and it was completed and opened to traffic on September 28, 2005.

Yunyang Yangtze River Bridge connects Kaili Road (Kaixian to Lichuan), an important provincial highway in Chongqing, and has become an important transportation hub for Yunyang and Yudong to participate in the national economic circle, ending the history of crossing the river by ferry for thousands of years.
