You don't have to apply in person to apply for a certificate of no criminal record in the United States. Applicants and embassy certification bodies are only established in the United States. It's still quite a struggle for me to apply in person, and the processing time will be delayed.

There are two kinds of innocence certificates in the United States, one is based on fingerprints and the other is based on names.

There is no time to apply for a criminal certificate in America. American citizens need 15 working days and can apply for expedited. As long as it takes seven working days, the application time for China citizens is three months, and it cannot be expedited.

The United States needs embassy certification for Chinese mainland and Hague certification for Hong Kong and Macao.

Authentication documents can only be used in China, otherwise they have no legal effect.
