What people and things do you miss particularly?
I especially miss the happy life of my family when I was a child. When I was in elementary school, my mother would teach me my homework very patiently at home. To this day, I still remember the time when my mother taught me to write when I was a child. That evening, it was darker. At that time, the electricity at home was not very stable. There happened to be a power outage that day. My mother lit a kerosene lamp. Under the weak, beating light, she held my hand and taught me some letters. I couldn't write the letter "a" at first, so I had to write it as "o" or write it to the left. However, my mother still held my hand very patiently, taught me, and corrected my mistakes. After repeating it many times, I finally learned how to write this letter. Now that I think about it, I feel like I am so stupid.
However, it is indeed worth remembering that my mother, who had never read any books, taught me how to study. Especially that night, I miss my mother’s patience and warmth, as well as the kerosene lamp that night. Unlike my mother, my father went to high school, but failed the college entrance examination and failed to get into the ideal university. So, from elementary school to high school, I often asked my dad if I had any homework I didn’t know. Dad would teach me in different ways every time. Over and over again until I understand. Often, the teacher praises me in class and says that I am the only one in the class who got this question right. Every time I hear this, I feel very happy and proud. Sometimes, when the school assigns a lot of homework, I haven't finished it until after ten o'clock in the evening. When my father sees that I am still doing my homework, he will tell me to go to bed and write again tomorrow. I usually insist on finishing my homework, because only after I finish my homework can I climb into bed and sleep.
Every time my father saw that I insisted on doing my homework, he would sit aside and accompany me. I often pick up the pen and see the topics I wrote. He also followed suit. Sometimes when he saw that my method was more complicated, he would explain to me simple problem-solving methods. Because of the company of my parents, I feel that my study and life are very happy.
