(1) Overview

The exploration area is located at 165° and 24 kilometers southeast of Linxian County, Shanxi Province, about 29 kilometers away from Linxian County and 28 kilometers away from Shishi City. The administrative division is under the jurisdiction of Tuanshuitou Town, Linxian County and Pingtou Township, Lishi District. Due to severe weathering and erosion, the surface of the area is crisscrossed with ridges and ridges, and crisscrossed with ravines. It is a typical mid-low mountainous landform of the Loess Plateau. The main highway from Tuanshuitou Town to Lishi City passes through the area. It is 28 kilometers away from Shishi City, and the transportation is relatively convenient. The area has a warm temperate monsoon continental climate, which is usually dry and dominated by northwest winds. August and September each year are the rainy season, with the highest monthly average rainfall of 134.4 mm and the annual average rainfall of 529 mm. The average annual evaporation is 2146.4 mm. The frost period is from early October to late March of the following year, and the frost-free period is 195 days. The snowfall period lasts for more than 140 days, mostly starting in November and ending in March of the following year.

From April 2011 to May 2012, the Third Geological Engineering Survey Institute of Shanxi Province carried out exploration work. The type of mineral being explored was bauxite, and the level of work was pre-examination. The exploration fund was 2.29 million yuan.

(2) Brief description of the results

The Al2O3 content of bauxite in the region is 40.68% ~ 79.31%, with an average grade of 61.23%; SiO2 content is 1.26% ~ 32.18%, with an average of 9.69%; Fe2O3 content is 0.77% ~ 42.99%, with an average of 9.97%; A /S averaged 6.32. The combined analysis results showed that the S content ranged from 0.02% to 0.37%, with an average of 0.12%.

(3) Brief process of achieving results

From April 2011 to May 2012, the Third Geological Engineering Survey Institute of Shanxi Province carried out exploration work and completed 1 ∶10,000 geological survey of 22.8 square kilometers, 23 construction drilling holes, and a total footage of 3,424 meters. 202 basic analysis samples were collected, and the project has passed the project acceptance of the Shanxi Provincial Department of Land and Resources.
