Home in Hong Kong (1983) Story Summary

< p> Alan Huang is a young man from Hong Kong who wants to climb up. With the help of Erica, a mixed-race mistress of a wealthy foreign businessman, he joins a real estate company and rises higher because he knows how to seize opportunities. Later, he met Zhang Tingting, a girl who smuggled into Hong Kong from the mainland, and fell in love with her. Real estate is at a low ebb, foreign wealthy businessmen are leaving Hong Kong, and Huang Allen refuses to immigrate to a foreign country with Erica. Out of jealousy, Erica revealed Tingting's identity as a stowaway to the police and then committed suicide. Allen wanted to escape with Tingting disguised as Vietnamese refugees, but Tingting was unwilling to do so. Watchman Huber, who always wanted to die in his hometown, died while helping Tingting escape and died in a foreign land. The girlfriend of another young man, Li Jianhui, married a karaoke manager because his family was eager to immigrate. After arranging for his family to return to Hong Kong, Li Jianhui had given up on himself and participated in a boxing match and became insane.

This movie is actually not bad. Andy Lau, who has just entered the society, has a hard life and has to devote himself to a foreign mistress. Fortunately, he left in the end. The life experience of mainland girl Zhang Tingting is also embarrassing, and Gu Feng is rare. He played a good guy for once, an old janitor who hates evil and has a warm heart. In short, the director still has certain feelings and demands.
