One of the origins of Zhashui and Lanxi: the appellation of "father" in the two places
1—— Lanxi City, Zhejiang Province (omitted)
2—— Zhashui County, Shaanxi Province
There are only over 300 families in our village, with a population of 1000. They live in ditches and fork roads. They even speak four or five accents, and even one family speaks two dialects. If the professor doesn't believe me, I'll take the title as proof. In our village, there are five or six titles for my father. I call my father "Bo" (Bei, three tones are long), and my mother calls my father "Ya". Our family is an immigrant from Shanxi, my mother is an immigrant from Hunan and Hubei, and my grandmother is an immigrant from Jiangsu and Zhejiang. Our neighbors, a family called him "Da", said to be from Guanzhong or Longxi, a family called him "Dad" from Henan, and a family called him "Diya" from Jiangnan. Everyone has a different accent, but there is no obstacle to communication. When I was in Tongguan, I saw Henan people talking to Guanzhong people. They said different things, but they talked and laughed without any communication barriers.
In our family, my grandfather speaks "local dialect" because our family is "local". My grandmother is a "Huxia person" (also known as Xialek or Xiahe person) who speaks Fox Xia dialect. My father's siblings actually speak "local dialect" and "Fox Xia dialect". It is said that they quarreled when they were young, and the most powerful weapon for one party to attack and laugh at the other was; You betrayed your ancestors and even said "Fox Xia dialect". The other party retorted that it was not our fault that our son followed his mother tongue, so he went to an adult, who was at a loss and couldn't tell why. (Excerpted from Zhai Jushi's blog)
