The Historical Evolution of Zhoukou Station

On February 5th 1975, Luozhou Railway was laid to Zhoukou Station, and on April 5th 1 1, temporary transportation began. 1982 On New Year's Day, the passenger train between Zhoukou and Luohe was officially opened, which declared the end of the history of no train in Zhoukou.

The design of Zhoukou Station (huanghe road Old Station) is based on the drawings of Shaoshan Station, the hometown of President Mao Zedong. There are main lines 1 piece, arrival and departure lines 5, comprehensive freight yard 1 piece, special railway line 1 piece, and narrow gauge reloading line1piece. At that time, grain, agricultural and sideline products, oil, coal and gravel became the main transportation lines.

Since 2003, Zhoukou Station has also taken the initiative to coordinate with relevant departments to open a special train for migrant workers to Xinjiang, and has transported more than 60,000 migrant workers to Xinjiang to pick cotton.

With the establishment of Luofu Railway Co., Ltd. in 2008, Zhoukou Station was placed under the management of Wuhan Railway Bureau under the jurisdiction of the former Henan Local Railway Bureau. With the implementation of electrification project of Luofu Railway, Zhoukou Station will be built better.

On 20 13 12.26, Zhoukou station (new station) was officially opened and realized the double-line operation of uplink and downlink. Zhoukou Station is the last station opened after the electrification transformation of Luofu Railway, and its opening marks the completion of the whole line after the transformation of Luofu Railway.
