According to legend, during the Yongle period of the Ming Dynasty, Wang's ancestors immigrated from Yunnan to Dianji West Wang Quan Village, hence the name of West Wang Quan. At 1960, they immigrated to the old village of Beiling and built a new village, the name of which was still West Wang Quan.

Village Overview The village is located in the southwest of Dianji Town 13km, west to Wei Qing first-class highway, west to Heyangzhuang, north to Hu Jiazhuang, east and west to Wangquan Reservoir, with cultivated land 176 mu, 240 villagers and a population of 750.

The economic situation of the village is mainly based on planting and aquaculture, and the main food cash crop is peanut. The total income of villages developing fruit industry and aquaculture is15.09 million yuan, and the per capita income is 6 164 yuan.

Since 1995, social undertakings have invested more than 500,000 yuan to transform five streets, realizing greening, beautification and lighting, and transforming a village road to connect with Wei Qing Road. Every household has running water, most villagers have modern tools such as color TV sets, refrigerators, motorcycles and telephones, and the number of people who participate in medical co-ordination for serious illness 100%.

West Wang Quan Village is adjacent to Hu Jiazhuang Village, Heyangzhuang Village, Liushutun Village, Wangjiazhuang Village, Lanjiahuang Village, Xinzhuang Village, Diandongtun Village, Guanzhuang East Street Village, Guanzhuang West Street Village, Jiangjiabaozi Village, Guanzhuang Shangjie Village, Nanquan Hetou Village, Beiguanzhuang Village and Beiquan Hetou Village.

There are some tourist attractions near West Wang Quan Village, such as Li Manor, Beiqian Site, Nanqian Site, Jinkou Tianhou Palace, Dongyandi Site and Songjiamaping Site, and there are specialties such as Jinkou Yuya Celery, Baimiao Taro, Jinkou Yuya Celery, Jimobian and Jimo Old Wine.
