There are currently two universities in Lishui. One university is lishui university, and there are two institutions. The other is Lishui Vocational and Technical College.

Lishui university is the highest institution sponsored by Lishui Municipal People's Government and the only undergraduate institution in Lishui. Its school-running history can be traced back to Chuzhou Normal School in 1907. In May, 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Lishui Teachers College merged with Lishui Vocational and Technical College and was renamed lishui university, which is a public full-time undergraduate college in Zhejiang Province.

Lishui university teachers:

As of September, 2002 1 126, including 9 professors, 93 doctors, experts from the Higher Education Teaching Steering Committee of the Ministry of Education, and 2 experts enjoying special allowances from the State Council, Zhejiang.

In May, 2004, with the approval of the Ministry of Education, Lishui Teachers College merged with Lishui Vocational and Technical College and was renamed lishui university, which is a public full-time undergraduate college in Zhejiang Province.

Led by Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, Ningbo University and Hangzhou Normal University participated in helping lishui university. In June 20 17, the school was listed as the construction unit of the "Thirteenth Five-Year" master's degree awarding project in Zhejiang Province, and in June 20 19, it was identified as the second batch of application-oriented construction pilot demonstration schools in Zhejiang Province by the Education Department.
