Can China citizens become Swiss citizens?
There are several conditions for joining Swiss nationality:
1. If you have lived in Switzerland for more than 12 years, you can apply for Swiss citizenship. Among them, the time spent in Switzerland between 10 and 20 years old can be doubled.
2. Foreigners married to Swiss can apply for quick naturalization. You must be married for three years and live in Switzerland for five years. You must have lived in Switzerland for 12 months before applying. Like all applicants, foreign partners must prove that they have fully adapted to life in Switzerland.
Article 3 of China's Nationality Law stipulates that People's Republic of China (PRC) does not recognize the dual nationality of China citizens. Therefore, China citizens will no longer have China nationality after becoming Swiss citizens.
