Can TOEFL scores replace IELTS scores in immigration applications?

An Overview of English Requirements for Different Visa Types in Australia

1- Skilled immigrants: A visa 189/ 190/489 requires an IELTS score of at least 4. If you provide scores in other languages, you need an English test transcript equivalent to this level. The recognized language test categories are IELTS, OET, TOEFL iBT, PTE academic and CAE.

2- Work visa: 457 visa requirements are equivalent to an average IELTS score of 5, and the single item is not less than 4.5. IELTS only accepts Class G, not Class A. The recognized exam categories are IELTS, OET, TOEFL iBT, PTE academic and CAE.

3- Working holiday visa: 462 visa requirement is equivalent to IELTS average score of 4.5. Only IELTS, TOEFL iBT, PTE academic and CAE are recognized.

4- Temporary visa for graduates: 485 visa requirements are equivalent to an average IELTS score of 6, and the single item is not less than 5. The recognized exam categories are IELTS, OET, TOEFL iBT, PTE academic and CAE.

5- Employer-sponsored immigration: the visa requirement of 457 rpm 186/ 187 is equivalent to IELTS score 4 and above, and the visa requirement of directly applying for 186/ 187 is equivalent to IELTS score 4 and above. Only IELTS, TOEFL iBT, PTE academic and CAE are recognized.

6- Business Immigrants: 188A and 188B The English requirements for the main applications depend on individual circumstances. English scores are not enough, so you don't need to provide IELTS scores. If extra points are needed, the IELTS score will be 4.5 plus 5 and 4.7 plus 10. IELTS only accepts Class G, not Class A. In addition, the Immigration Bureau also recognizes TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic and CAE.

note:

1- The academic transcripts of IELTS, OET, TOEFL, iBT and PTE provided by all visa types must be attended in the last 3 years. CAE only accepts test results after 20 15 1.

2- The Immigration Bureau does not recognize the OET type, but only recognizes the other four types of IELTS, TOEFL iBT, PTE Academic and CAE. It must be the most recent 1 year report card to be valid.
