Why Bulgaria is called the Kingdom of Roses and how to apply for status?
Bulgaria, known as the "Rose Empire", is located in the southeast of the Balkan Peninsula in Europe, bordering Romania, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece and Turkey, and bordering the Black Sea in the east. There is another particularly beautiful legend about the Rose Empire. When the legendary creator distributed land resources, Bulgarians came late and pestered them, and the creator decided to give them their own courtyard. God's courtyard is decorated with roses, so Bulgaria has the most famous roses in the world, the most famous of which is the Rose Valley in Kazanlek.
75% of the roses in Bulgaria come from a canyon west of Kazanlek. That narrow strip, which is 130km long from east to west and 15km wide from north to south, has more than 7,000 kinds of roses, and is called "Rose Valley". The first Sunday of June every year is the Rose Festival in Kazanlek, which consists of three parts: the traditional "Rose Queen" activity, the picking ceremony of Rose Manor and the festival parade.
Bulgarian rose essential oil is called "liquid gold", and the market price of 1 kg is 7000-8000 US dollars, which is twice the price of gold. The preciousness of its quality lies in that it can be made into high-end perfume with a small amount, and a few drops of rose oil can be made into 1KG high-end perfume.
300 years ago, Europe and China became powerful, and the royal family demanded more and more luxury goods such as perfume. The fragrance of roses is deeply loved by the royal family, and the production in Syria, the country of origin, alone cannot meet the demand. It was found that the first generation of Balkan mountain peaks in Bulgaria were particularly suitable for growing roses, so Bulgaria began to grow roses slowly.
There are more than 5000 kinds of roses, but only a few can be used as perfume raw materials. Damascus rose, with one third higher bud and nearly one third residual oil than ordinary roses, is recognized as a rose variety with the best fragrance and the greatest economic benefit, and is favored by the sales market.
In the 20th century, Bulgaria has become the world's largest producer of rose oil, with an industrial chain of rose oil from rose planting, harvesting, rose oil refining to final market sales. Moreover, the Kazanlek region of Bulgaria's Rose Valley has long staged the most wonderful and romantic fragments of picking roses, thus forming Bulgaria's world-renowned annual "Rose Festival".
Also, Bulgarian roses are the national treasure of the host country, and they enjoy the national treasure salary, just like pandas in China, but it is illegal to go abroad. If you really want to take some home, you must go through the relevant formalities. So some people travel to this country, but they don't think other people's roses are good, just want to bring them back to China.
