Basic information about Dongjiangyuan

Yajibo Mountain is located in Santong Village, Sanbiao Township, Xunwu County, Ganzhou City, Jiangxi Province. It is located at the junction of Xunwu, Huichang and Anyuan counties. It is the watershed of the Dongjiang River system. Climbing to the top of Yajibo Mountain, you will see in front of you the beautiful and magical scene of "three counties with one foot and two rivers with one glance". The territory is a typical subtropical monsoon humid area, with obvious plant growth, distinctive forest climate characteristics, dense and lush forests, and a beautiful and pleasant landscape of "green mountains dripping, green water still flowing".

The Dongjiang River is formed by the confluence of the main stream Xunwushui (as the east source) and the tributary Dingnanshui (also known as Beiling water and Jiuqu water as the west source) at Fengshuba, Longchuan County, Guangdong. Xunwu Water flows from the source of Yajibo Mountain through the water source of Xunwu County, Chengjiang, Jitan, Wenfeng, Nanqiao, Liuche, and Longting, and enters Guangdong Xingning Xiaozhai, Longchuan Dutian River, and Fengshuba Reservoir It flows into the Dongjiang River. The length of Xunwu is 106.5 kilometers. According to the expert scientific research team organized by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Science and Technology on June 27, 2004, the source of the Dongjiang River is the Santong River in Xunwushui. Its source is located on the south side of Yajibo Mountain, and its origin is Yajibo Mountain. Therefore, Yajibo Mountain has the first authoritative scientific identification as the birthplace of the Dongjiang River. On August 6, 2002, Liu Zhaolun, former vice minister of the Ministry of Water Resources, director of the first Pearl River Water Conservancy Commission, and director of the compilation committee of "Pearl River Chronicles" wrote inscriptions: "Yaji Boshan, the source of the Dongjiang River", "Xunwu, the first township of the source of the Dongjiang River, Jiangxi" Sanbiao Township”. On September 25, 2002, he also inscribed "The source county of the Dongjiang River - Xunwu County, Jiangxi Province".

Yajibo Mountain is beautiful and magical. The beauty lies in the fact that it has been surrounded by mountains since the day it was born. It stands majestically at the southeast end of the Wuyi Mountains, bowing to the south of Guangdong; the gods are in the endless Xunwu River. It rushes down and pours into the South China Sea. Sanbaishan is adjacent to Xunwu County in the east and spans the four townships of Xinshan, Fengshan, Zhengang and Sanbaishan. Located at the junction of the three provinces of Jiangxi, Guangdong and Fujian, it belongs to the intersecting area of ??the northern slope of the eastern section of the Wuyi Mountains. It is the watershed of the Gongjiang River in the Yangtze River system and the Dongjiang River in the Pearl River system. Sanbaishan is the birthplace of the Dongjiang River and the source of drinking water for Hong Kong compatriots. It is also the only tourist resort in the country that has special significance for Hong Kong compatriots to drink water and remember its source. Sanbai Mountain was discovered in the mid-1980s and was listed as a county-level nature reserve by the People's Government of Anyuan County in 1985; it was approved as a national forest park by the Ministry of Forestry in May 1993; it was designated as a national forest park by the People's Government of Jiangxi Province in July 1995. Listed as a provincial key scenic spot; in June 2000, it was named the “First Batch of National Mother River Protection Action” Ecological Education Demonstration Base by the National Leading Group for the Protection of the Mother River; in May 2002, it was designated by the State Council (Guohan [2002] No. 40 ) was approved as the fourth batch of national key scenic spots; in December 2009, it was awarded the 'National 4A Tourist Attraction' by the National Tourism Administration.
