Is it difficult to get a visa in Canada?
The first case: go to the visa application center yourself.
Step 1: Determine the visa type and prepare the visa information listed on this website.
Step 2: Submit the application to the nearest Canadian visa center without an appointment or interview.
Step 3: Pay the fee and wait for the visa result. At present, the processing cycle of visiting visas is generally 3-4 weeks, while students and jobs need about 3 months. Submit your application at the counter of the visa center. The application acceptance fee only accepts RMB cash payment. Please prepare the corresponding cash application acceptance fee according to your visa type.
The second case: online application.
To apply for a Canadian visa online, you need to log in to the Canadian Immigration Bureau in official website to apply:
Step 1: Log in to the Canadian Immigration Bureau in official website and fill out the questionnaire;
Step 2: register the GCKey account and fill in the account questions;
Step 3: Upload the application materials online and pay the visa fee of 100 Canadian dollars online.
The third case: submission by mail.
The Visa Center only accepts postal applications and remittances from applicants legally residing in China. The visa application center does not accept visa applications mailed from abroad.
For the guests who apply by mail, please check the mailing process and the account for paying the service fee: the process of submitting the Canadian visa application by mail is detailed.
The following is the process of mailing the application:
Step 1: Confirm the visa type.
Download the list of materials according to the determined visa type and prepare your application materials according to the requirements of the list. After confirming the required materials, print the list of materials and sign it.
Step 2: The applicant needs to remit the visa fee to the designated bank account.
The application fee includes:
-Visa fee (100 Canadian dollars)
-visa center service fee (34.25 Canadian dollars per person)
-Courier fee (50 yuan RMB per person, used to mail the visa results back to the designated address).
Please note:
-The center only accepts bank counter remittance and online bank remittance;
Please indicate the applicant's name and passport number in the postscript, and make sure that the bank uploads this information so that the visa center can quickly identify your remittance.
Step 3: Applicants can only apply by post through China Post (EMS).
When mailing the application form, please ensure that the package contains the following documents:
-Complete and signed material list and application form (e-mail address/two-dimensional barcode must be provided on the fifth page of the main application form).
-Auxiliary materials
-Copy of remittance voucher
-A label paper (Chinese mainland) marked with a return address and postal code, and the center will send back your application results through China Post (EMS).
Step 4:
If the visa application center receives the application by email before 13:00 on the same day and confirms that the payment is correct, the application will be sent by the visa application center to the Canadian embassy or consulate for trial on the next working day. If the visa application center receives the courier materials after 13:00 on the same day and confirms that the payment fee is correct, the visa application will be delivered to the Canadian embassy or consulate by the visa application center on the second working day after receipt.
Step five:
Please make sure that the list of materials you provided clearly reflects the original submission. If there is any discrepancy, the center will contact and verify it by telephone and email in time.
Step 6:
The center can only accept postal applications with accurate remittance and complete materials. If your remittance is wrong and the required materials are incomplete, the center will inform you by phone/email to explain the further process. During this period, the center will keep your remittance and materials 10 working days, after which we will return your application and remittance.
Step 7:
The visa application center will issue a receipt for the application fee and return the original receipt to the applicant in a self-addressed envelope. At the same time, the application center will send the receipt/application number to the applicant's mailbox by email, so that the applicant can check the application progress online.
Step 8:
If the envelope returned to you cannot be delivered by EMS, the center will keep your application for 30 days, and then the center will hand it over to the embassy or consulate for processing.
