Survey and design fees are all expenses (including technical data purchase fees) incurred by the construction unit itself or by entrusting the survey and design unit to carry out engineering hydrogeological survey and design. It includes two parts: survey fee and design fee.

The survey fee is generally paid according to the actual workload, and the design fee is generally paid according to the cost quota formulated by different industries, different construction scales and the complexity of the project content. If there is no quota, the payment can be calculated according to a certain proportion of the design budget.

New charging standards for engineering survey and design;

In order to implement the Notice of the General Office of the State Council on Forwarding Several Opinions of the Ministry of Construction and Other Departments on the System Reform of Engineering Survey and Design Units, adjust the charging standards of engineering survey and design, and standardize the charging behavior of engineering survey and design, the State Planning Commission and the Ministry of Construction formulated the charging standards of engineering survey and design, which was promulgated on June 7, 2002 and implemented on March 6, 2002.

In order to reasonably implement the new charging standard, China Survey and Design Association organized a teacher training seminar on "Regulations on Management of Engineering Survey and Design Fees" in Beijing from June 1 1 to June/2, 2002.
