The IELTS Test Center for British Visa and Immigration, which was approved by the Examination Center of China Ministry of Education, officially settled in Xiamen Institute of Technology, and its opening ceremony was held on July 12.

This is the first IELTS test center for visas and immigrants set up by the British Council for Cultural Education, the organizer of IELTS test, in Xiamen.

In an interview, Chen Zhijun said that after comprehensive consideration of traffic, facilities, college qualifications and other factors, Xiamen Institute of Technology was decided as the IELTS test center for British visas and immigrants to meet the IELTS test demand in Xiamen and surrounding cities and regions.

Xiamen Institute of Technology has always maintained a good cooperative relationship with the British Council for Cultural Education. The school is not only the certification body of IELTS test, but also gives priority to IELTS score as the official English requirement of international projects.

Zhao said that the settlement of IELTS test center in this school is not only an important step in the internationalization process of the school, but also helps students to take this international level exam without leaving the school, which is helpful to enhance students' enthusiasm for learning English and promote students to go abroad for further study. At the same time, it can also provide convenient conditions for IELTS test for nearly 6,543,800 college students around the school.
