Two ways to apply for a Thailand tourist visa

There are two ways to apply for a Thailand tourist visa:
Pre-departure visa: Go to the embassy (consulate) or find a travel agency to apply for a visa before departure.
Visa on arrival: After arriving in Thailand, apply for a visa before entering Thailand.
Pre-trip visa
Application methods
There are generally two ways to apply for a pre-trip visa in Thailand:
① Go to the embassy or consulate: It takes 3 working days to issue the visa, 230 yuan/person, and requires a lot of materials.
② Find a travel agency to handle the process: it takes 5-8 working days to issue the visa, 250-280 yuan/person, and requires few materials.

Required materials
1. A passport valid for more than 6 months and its copy;
2. A completed tourist visa application form;
3. A passport valid for six months A 3.5*4.5 cm color bareheaded photo taken in-house;
4. A copy of the round-trip air ticket and the confirmed air ticket including the ticket number;
5. The applicant’s domestic work unit and location Original English or Thai guarantee letter from the school or sub-district office (the content includes: the applicant’s name, purpose of going to Thailand, and period of stay in Thailand; the letter must guarantee that the applicant will return to China on time, and must include the unit’s address and phone number. This letter must also include The official seal of the unit must be affixed, and the name, position and signature of the person in charge must be included)
PS: If there are children accompanying you, relevant certificates must be presented. (Copy of household register, child’s birth certificate or marriage certificate)
Note: If you go to a travel agency, you generally only need to provide your passport and photos.
Application process
① First determine whether you plan to go to the embassy yourself or find a travel agency.
② Prepare the corresponding materials according to your choice.
③ If you choose to apply by yourself, you need to go to the embassy (consulate) in person; if you choose to apply for an agent, you can mail the required materials to the corresponding address.
④ Wait about 5 working days and go to the embassy to collect your passport; the travel agency can wait for the passport to be sent back.
Note: The embassy (consulate) process usually takes 3 working days. The embassy (consulate) only accepts materials in the morning and only collects passports in the afternoon. Please arrange your own time
Visa on arrival
Basic information
Visa issuance time: immediately
Application location: After arriving in Thailand, apply at the entry airport
Visa fee : 2,000 baht (400 yuan, only Thai baht is accepted)
Visa validity: 15 days
Time of stay in Thailand: 15 days
Required materials< /p>
1. A passport valid for no less than 6 months
2. A two-inch bareheaded photo with a white background
3. Carry 10,000 (individual) 20,000 (Family) Cash in Thai baht or equivalent foreign currency,
The Thai Immigration Bureau will conduct random inspections, just carry it with you and do not need to hand it over.
4. Round-trip air ticket for no more than 15 days (printed electronic ticket)

Note: The visa fee for visa on arrival only accepts Thai baht, and the equivalent foreign currency can be prepared for cash checks.
Processing process
①On the plane to Thailand, the flight attendant will distribute an immigration card to each passenger to fill it out. (See below for filling in the arrival card)
②After getting off the plane, go directly to the visa on arrival office "Visa On Arrival".
③ Get the visa on arrival application form at the counter, fill it out and have photos ready. (Remember to bring a pen)
④ Submit all the prepared materials, receive the number plate, and wait for the staff to call your number. The waiting time is generally 30 minutes, but if there are many people, you may need to wait 2-3 hours.
⑤Wait until the number is called, get your passport back, and take the filled-in immigration card to the immigration office for processing.
