I remember when the Hunan-Chongqing Railway was built in southern Shaanxi, I worked as a student soldier in the 3rd Battalion 1 1 Company of 52nd Division, and the construction site was Guojiahe construction site in He Lan Town, Ankang District. In the days when I left southern Shaanxi, although I changed my work unit and post, I still dreamed of the busy scene of intense construction on Guojiahe construction site at night. Some scenes are still clear after waking up, and I closed my eyes. These scenes are like a montage of focal plane, and scenes pass quickly in my mind, a bit like yesterday.
Strictly speaking, when the Cultural Revolution broke out, none of us actually graduated from primary school. Within a few days of junior high school, they began to "learn to work", "learn agriculture" and "learn the army". After finishing our studies, we resumed classes, and within a few days, we began to build a railway deep in the mountains. Therefore, the knowledge base of our group of people should not be very solid. But it's been 45 years. I sometimes wonder why after so long, I still can't forget the tense construction scene on the construction site. What is the reason? With the growth of age and time, I gradually figured it out. Think about it, more than 20,000 teenagers, mostly under 16, bid farewell to the bustling city and stay away from home. In response to the call of the party and the country, they resolutely came to the steep Daba Mountain in Qinling Mountains, engaged in heavy construction that did not match their age, endured the tempering of hard life, and witnessed and personally experienced the baptism of blood and fire, life and death. There is also a little childish and immature mind, which has left a profound mark of the times. This is an unforgettable memory, how can people forget it casually!
The Guojiahe site in my memory is located between mountains, so it is called Guojiahe site because there is a Guojiahe village not far from He Lan Town, which is a natural village and belongs to Shuanghe Commune. During the busy farming season in the Hanjiang River, the river boat sailing from Ankang is full of war preparation materials, and it is so pleasant to hear the whistle when it arrives at Guojiahe River. Every day, the power generation companies along the river start to use diesel to generate electricity, and the docks along the river are full of materials and materials for railway construction. Now, with the storage and power generation of Huoshiyan Hydropower Station, the former Guojiahe Village and our He Lan Town have already been submerged under Yinghu Lake in Wang Yang.
Our company 14 construction site is mainly engaged in the excavation of He Lan tunnel entrance of Xiang-Yu Railway. This tunnel is 3682 meters long and seven miles long, which is the longest tunnel in Shaanxi section of Xiangyu Railway. Opposite is the exit of Huoshiyan Tunnel, with a total length of 3,208 meters. Around the construction site, on the hillside stretching for miles in Fiona Fang, there are scattered barracks of various construction companies. There are five or six thousand construction workers in the whole Guojiahe site. It belongs to the 3rd Battalion of Railway Corps, and has five railway corps companies, plus five cadet companies and five militia companies, totaling 15 companies with more than 3,000 people. At that time, the degree of mechanized construction was not very high, mainly relying on manpower. Looking back now, it is actually a sea of tactics and a helpless move. Because at that time, the Cold War was not over yet. In the 1970s, China had limited technical level and tunneling equipment, which was not as good as it is now, but at any time, the only thing that China did not lack was people, and China had plenty of people! I remember a famous saying by Lao Mao at that time, man can conquer nature!
At that time, there were five student companies in this construction site. My student company 14 undertook the arduous task of crossing the parallel pilot tunnel of He Lan Tunnel, while the student company 14 of the 3rd battalion of Railway Corps always came to the construction site early during working hours. Our company has joined hands with four other Xue Bing companies, and Xue Bing Company 12 has also undertaken the arduous task of driving the entrance of the main tunnel in He Lan. There is also Xue Bing Company 1 1 to pave the way (cementing) in the main tunnel. These four companies are all 70-year student companies, and the only 69-year student company in 3rd Battalion is Xue Binglian 15. Because they came to the construction site earlier, they worked as a machinery company, responsible for the operation, repair and maintenance of the whole construction site machinery. This kind of work looked so chic at that time, and watching them skillfully operate various tunnel construction equipment, our 70-year-old students were envious at that time.
At the construction site of Guojiahe, our company successively carried out parallel tunnel excavation at the entrance of He Lan Tunnel and the exit of Huoshiyan Tunnel, slag discharge from the tunnel pit and middle trough, protective bent support, and cement recovery from holes. Looking back now, the performance at that time was really incredible, because the intensity and heavy degree of construction were far out of proportion to our age at that time, and the immature shoulders were burdened with a burden that did not match our age. These minors overdraw their physical strength and health prematurely, so that many people died of pneumoconiosis in their early years because of insufficient labor protection, which must be related to premature physical overdraft and high-intensity construction. You know, these are minors. Now many 16-and 17-year-olds are still coquetry in their parents' arms!
I slowly closed my eyes and fell into memories. It seems that I also saw the scene of the women's 2 1 company coming to the Guojiahe construction site to participate in the conference war. The beautiful figure of young female student soldiers on the construction site seems to be yesterday; My ears seem to echo the sound of mountain guns. Crushers, mixers, blowers, winches and air guns on the construction site are mixed into a deafening roar, which echoes in the layers of Daba Mountain; It seems that I saw some thin and underdeveloped student soldiers, with guide rails and logs on their shoulders, marching fast in the parallel pilot holes of the tunnel; It seems that I heard the cheerful, crisp and melodious jingle of battery cars that frequently shuttle inside and outside the tunnel to transport stone slag. I seem to hear the young students singing on the rugged mountain road when they return to the barracks from work, and hear the southern Shaanxi accent with strong local characteristics when the live propagandist plays the radio.
Yes, this is the memory of our youth, and it is also the memory of the blood and life of a group of young soldiers. How can you forget! I will never forget the busy Guojiahe construction site, and I will never forget the militia hero who died in the construction site fire. How many heroic railway soldiers, migrant workers and student soldiers gave their precious lives to build the Xiang-Yu line?
