The law officially came into effect on June 1, 2016 and will be implemented in three stages: Starting from June 1, 2016, residents of some areas of the Russian Far Eastern Federal District can obtain up to 1 hectare of land; starting from October 1, 2016, all residents of the Russian Far East Federal District can enjoy this right; starting from February 1, 2017, all citizens of Russia can enjoy this right.
According to the law, Russian citizens can obtain the right to use land free of charge for five years. The land can be used for personal residences, agricultural development, tourism or other purposes. After expiration, if the land is developed and utilized, they can continue to rent or rent it. Obtain title to land. Only Russian citizens can acquire land in the Russian Far Eastern Federal District, and this law does not apply to foreign citizens.
