Xibo people moved to Xinjiang, why not move to a place closer to the south?

Now Xibo people have a saying: "The Xibo people in Xinjiang have their roots in Shenyang and their souls in Chabuchar." In fact, the ancestors of Xibo people lived further north in Heilongjiang. Later, it gradually moved south to the Zhaladuo River basin south of Hailar.

During the reign of Shunzhi and Kangxi in Qing Dynasty, he moved to Qiqihar, Mo Ergen (Nenjiang) and Boduna (Fuyu County, Jilin Province). In the thirty-sixth year of Kangxi (1697), Emperor Kangxi moved the Xibo nationality to Shengjing (now Shenyang) and let the latter take root here. Ten years later, Xibe soldiers raised 62 taels of silver and built five temples at home and abroad near Shengjing Huangsi Temple.

As a sacred place for Xibo people to worship their ancestors, "the capital has invited 108 volumes of the Ganjul Sutra, so that lamas can get together to recite the Sutra all year round." According to the inscription of Taiping Temple, a temple of Xibe nationality, when Xibe nationality moved to the south, it was divided into three parts, which were moved to Shengjing in the 36th, 37th and 38th years of Kangxi respectively. You know, these three years are very important in history of qing dynasty. It turns out that the monarchs in the early Qing Dynasty were all committed to consolidating and opening up the frontier.

The biggest trouble of the Kangxi Dynasty in the northwest frontier was galdan, the leader of Junggar Department. galdan always wanted to establish a new "grassland empire", which was directly opposite to the core interests of the Qing Dynasty. After many fierce battles, Kangxi made two personal expeditions, and the main force of Gordan was eliminated. In the thirty-sixth year of Kangxi, the emperor personally marched galdan to Ningxia for the third time, and desperate galdan committed suicide.

After the threat of the quasi-Ministry was dispelled, Kangxi began to draw the overall defense map of the north, and it was under this background that Xibo III moved to Shengjing one after another. In the thirty-seventh year of Kangxi, the empress dowager and the emperor's mother and son visited Shengjing for a long time in one palace and three tombs. Emperor Kangxi took the opportunity to comprehensively rectify and defend the northeast and eliminate redundant personnel and soldiers.

The Xibe officers and men who are rich in fresh blood, strong in riding and shooting, and simple in folk customs are very satisfied with the emperor, and the second migration of Xibe tribe to the south is based on this. In the thirty-eighth year of Kangxi, Kangxi toured south first, then visited the Great Wall, and Xibe moved south basically. In the forty years of Kangxi, he moved south.

* * * Around 2000 Xibe officers and soldiers and their families were placed in the north of Shengjing, which became an important pawn for the Qing court to defend the capital and stabilize the situation beyond the Great Wall. After moving here, Xibe people engaged in farming and lived and worked in peace. In a blink of an eye, decades passed, and it was the Qianlong dynasty.
