"The Song of the Westward Migration"

This is a novel based on the Chinese Manchu epic "The Song of the Westward Migration".

In 1981, Lin Peifen's father passed away. She had a deep relationship with her father and decided to write a work to commemorate her late father. This was the original intention of writing "Nurhachi". Therefore, in the past 18 years, in order to further understand Nurhachi's life, she began to devote herself to the study of the history of the Ming and Qing Dynasties. She traveled between the two sides of the Taiwan Strait many times and painstakingly studied Manchu. Finally, in 2000, she completed this 1.2 million-word work. Looking back on these 18 years, Lin Peifen described the long night and the long road as a magnificent and noble journey.

This book is a series of historical novels, describing the magnificent life of Nurhaci, the "Taizu of the Qing Dynasty". When Nurhaci was twenty-five years old, his father and ancestors died tragically due to the Ming Dynasty's "using barbarians to control barbarians", which aroused his strong will for revenge. He also saw clearly that after two hundred years of miserable life, the Jurchens The direction to go. He used the thirteen armors left by his father and ancestors to raise an army. On the one hand, he annexed various small tribes to expand his strength, and on the other hand, he hid his strength from the Ming Dynasty and acted in vain. In order to write "Nurhachi", Lin Peifen read and verified nearly 10,000 ancient and modern books and materials, and went to many Ming and Qing historical sites in Northeast China for on-the-spot investigation and experience. In order to concentrate on her creation, she talked about the rise and fall on the manuscript paper day after day, studied the revolution in the small room, and often even "broken off the friendship and stopped traveling". There is always a recording on the other end of the phone, "I can't answer the phone..." After 18 years of hard work, "Nurhaci" has undoubtedly become an important coordinate for her historical and literary work. However, Lin Peifen decided to start revising this "coordinate".
